What Sets Us Apart

At The Neurodevelopmental Collective, we do things differently—and intentionally.

Every piece of our process is thoughtfully designed to center the child, empower families, and communicate clearly. From comprehensive evaluations to warm, accessible reports, nothing is one-size-fits-all. We believe neurodiversity-affirming care should be as thoughtful as it is thorough.

We also believe people do well when they are understood and supported. When someone struggles, it does not mean they are not trying hard enough. It often means something important is getting in the way, such as an unmet need, a mismatch between their strengths and the environment, or something that has not yet been recognized. Our job is to understand the full picture and help families respond with clarity, compassion, and confidence. Every person deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated for who they are. That is where we come in.

A Whole-Child Approach

We take a global view of development, meaning we consider every part of a person’s experience—not just one piece. Whether we’re doing an evaluation or providing therapy, we consider how they think, learn, communicate, manage emotions, build relationships, and process the world around them. This big-picture view helps us understand what’s working, what’s challenging, and what kind of support will truly make a difference. Every person is unique, and we shape our process to reflect that.

Where Every Brain Belongs

We are a neurodiversity-affirming and inclusive practice.  We recognize that all brains are different and that neurodivergence is a meaningful and valuable part of human diversity. Our approach centers on helping people understand themselves, feel proud of who they are, and access the support they deserve. We use language that uplifts and empowers, never limits. Our space is intentionally created to affirm and celebrate all identities, including neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, and gender-diverse individuals.

Empowerment Through Understanding

Even from a young age, we all start to build stories about who we are. But sometimes those stories are shaped by misunderstanding or by labels that don’t quite fit. Our goal is to offer insight that feels accurate, respectful, and empowering. When children and families truly understand themselves, they can share that understanding with others and feel more confident, connected, and supported.

Centered on Children and Families

We make sure every child feels safe, seen, and celebrated. As part of every evaluation, we write a personalized letter just for them—highlighting their strengths and differences in respectful, empowering language. We also provide age-appropriate guides and conversations so children and teens can actively understand and engage in their own journey. Families are at the heart of everything we do, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Growing Together

We believe the best support comes from collaboration. Right now, that means working closely with the people who already know your child and family, including teachers, therapists, and other care providers. Our goal is to make sure everything feels connected, consistent, and truly supportive.  Over time, we’re working to bring more of that support into The Neurodevelopmental Collective, creating a place where families can access the care they need, all in one trusted space.

Curious about evaluations?

Evaluations for Infants through Young Adults

Our in-person evaluations are comprehensive, developmentally informed, and tailored to each individual. From infants and toddlers to college-age students, we take a global approach—looking at the full picture so we can offer meaningful insight and practical guidance.

Virtual Evaluations

Virtual evaluations can be a helpful option for families facing long waitlists, who live outside our area, or who have a focused question that doesn’t require a full in-person process. We provide virtual services to clients in California, Illinois, and Nevada, and use the same thoughtful, connected process as we do in person.

Guided Growth

Now available! Guided Growth is a flexible, subscription-based service that helps families stay supported after an evaluation. With quarterly check-ins, tools for tracking progress, and access to consultation when questions come up, this service is designed to grow alongside your child.

IQ Testing

We offer formal IQ testing using gold-standard tools for children as young as 2 years and 6 months through adults. Families often seek IQ testing for private school admissions, giftedness assessments, or a clearer understanding of how someone learns and solves problems.

Evaluation Navigator

If you already have an evaluation by another provider (e.g., school, Early Start, etc), but aren’t sure how to make sense of it or what to do next, we’re here to help. In a one-time consultation, we’ll walk through the report with you, answer your questions, and provide clear, personalized recommendations.

Virtual Therapy Services

Our supportive parent training program is now open. Sessions are grounded in respect, research, and practical, real-life strategies to help caregivers feel more confident and connected in supporting their child. We also offer virtual therapy for children and teens (ages 10+) in areas such as autism, anxiety, and related needs.
