Neurodevelopmental Evaluations for Infants & Toddlers

Understanding your child’s early development can be both reassuring and empowering. Our comprehensive evaluations explore how your child is growing in key areas—including play, communication, learning, motor skills, and social-emotional development.

Families often come to us with questions about autism or general developmental differences. Whether you’re seeking clarity, reassurance, or next steps, we’re here to help.

What We Explore

Our infant and toddler evaluations focus on early development in a supportive, family-centered way. They highlight emerging abilities and help families understand how their child is growing, learning, and engaging with the world.

We assess:

  • Early cognitive skills: how your child explores, problem-solves, and responds to their environment

  • Language and communication: both understanding and expressing needs, gestures, and early words

  • Motor skills: fine and gross motor development, coordination, and play-based movement

  • Adaptive functioning: early independence skills such as feeding, dressing, and daily routines

  • Social and emotional development: how your child relates to others, manages emotions, and shows early signs of social engagement (including questions related to autism)

Evaluations are conducted through play-based activities, caregiver interviews, and standardized measures. They are designed to be engaging and comfortable for young children, while giving families clear, meaningful insight into their child’s development.

Why Families Choose Us

All infant and toddler evaluations are conducted by Dr. Jessica Snowden Patel. As both a mom of four and a psychologist with over 20 years of experience with little ones, she knows that the best way to learn about young children is through play. From stacking blocks to chasing bubbles, Dr. Patel makes the process engaging, flexible, and fun—so kids feel comfortable and parents feel at ease.

Each evaluation includes lots of personal time with your child, giving her the chance to really see who they are—their curiosity, their joy, and their unique needs. This playful, hands-on approach helps families walk away with both answers and a sense of pride in their child’s growth.
