Literacy & Learning Support
Personalized, relationship-centered support for children in pre-K through 4th grade who may benefit from additional guidance in early literacy, school readiness, learning strategies, attention, confidence, and academic skill development.

At The Neurodevelopmental Collective, we believe children learn best when they feel supported, understood, and successful. Our Literacy & Learning Support services are designed to meet children where they are while helping them build strong foundational skills through engaging, individualized support.

Support sessions are individualized based on each child’s needs, strengths, interests, and learning style. Sessions may incorporate evidence-based literacy strategies, hands-on learning, movement, games, visual supports, and child-led engagement to help learning feel meaningful and accessible.

Math and expanded executive functioning support services will be offered in the near future.

Our Approach
We take a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach to learning support. We understand that children develop skills at different rates and in different ways. Our goal is not to force children into rigid expectations, but to help them build skills, confidence, self-understanding, and positive learning experiences.

Support Packages
Literacy & Learning Support services are offered through ongoing support packages designed to provide consistency, collaboration, and individualized intervention. Packages include direct sessions as well as individualized planning, caregiver communication, and coordination as appropriate.
Foundations Support
1 session per week
$215/session

Ideal for children benefiting from steady, targeted support and foundational skill-building.
Momentum Support
2 sessions per week
$205/session
​
Designed for children who benefit from increased consistency, repetition, and reinforcement across the week.
Intensive Support
3 sessions per week
$195/session
​
Recommended for children needing more immersive support or more intensive intervention.
Additional Information

We ask families to commit to services one month at a time in order to support consistency and meaningful progress.

In-clinic services are offered in San Carlos.

Limited home-based support may be available depending on location and scheduling.

Meet Karen Shin
Karen Shin brings over 20 years of experience supporting children in educational and behavioral settings. She is currently a teacher at Synapse School, has completed her ISME certification, and is wrapping up her educational therapy degree.
​
Her approach blends evidence-based literacy instruction with relationship-centered, child-focused support designed to help children feel capable, engaged, and successful as learners.
​
Karen works closely with families to create individualized, supportive learning experiences that build both skills and confidence.
